It’s that time of year again, Super Bowl is just around the corner… and we all know what that means. Super Bowl ads! We’ve all seen the Newcastle Brown Ale Ad Almost Made or one hundred other Super Bowl ads over the years, and it’s clear that brands really do their best to get people’s attention. This year, SNICKERS has got there almost before everyone else with a pretty funny pre-Super Bowl teaser… Cue the “SNICKERS® – “Super Bowl Teaser” on YouTube featuring Danny Trejo of Machete fame.
The ad is part of the brand’s “You’re Not Yourself When You’re Hungry” campaign but it’s just a teaser… and it features Danny Trejo as Marcia from the Brady Bunch. It’s obvious that Marcia hasn’t had her SNICKERS yet and she is definitely “not herself”. The brand is daring people to engage with the ad and will release the full version early only if it reaches 2.5 million engagements.

Up until now, the teaser has been seen over 850,000 times in three days, which makes us think that “yeah, we’ll probably get to see the full ad soon”. If you want to contribute towards the 2.5m engagements, you can like, share, comment on, re-tweet using the hashtag #eatasnickers. Get onto it and enjoy. Of course this post is not endorsed or otherwise sponsored by SNICKERS. ;-)
