In Brazil, Burger King is gifting customers their worst nightmares this Halloween: A utility bill that is in fact a coupon for a half-priced Whopper.
When looking for the scariest prank, DAVID São Paulo came across an interesting insight: people’s horror of utility bills has been a returning trending topic on social media.
As part of a campaign for Burger King Brazil, 10,000 customers are receiving a coupon for a half-priced Whopper disguised as their worst nightmare: a utility bill. People can also view the “Whopper Bill” online and send to their friends to further the prank.
Forget zombies and clowns (of course *wink* *wink*), Burger King has also released a 30-second video that introduces utility bills as what terrifies people the most.
Burger King has attempted to tap into a real world “fear.” But how many people will actually open what they consider to be their worst nightmare. The Halloween offer is valid only on October 31.
