It’s a busy week for messaging apps. Viber has just announced the addition of Public Chats in its update for iOS and Android, which will be available today, at midnight (GMT).
Public Chats allows public figures and companies to share group chats with fans and followers. Users will have the opportunity to get inside scoop about from the brands, artists and everything they care about.
Users won’t be able to participate in the public chats, however, there are plans to enable comments from users in the near future. Viber promises that Public Chats will provide all the inside information regarding music events, releases, gossip and sport news. For this reason, it has already partnered with Perez Hilton, Anastacia, DJ Paul Van Dyk and many others.
