As promised back in February this year, Facebook has made Instant Articles available to any publishers across the world. The announcement was made last night during the company’s F8 conference.
Instant Articles were introduced almost one year ago, as the solution to slower loading times on Facebook. Instant Articles are lighter, but more interactive versions of articles that load almost instantly within Facebook’s mobile apps.

Instant Articles had previously been only available to selected publishers. A year later though, Facebook has released some very interesting stats on the feature:
- – Instant Articles generate 20% more click-throughs than regular links
- – Users who clicked through to an Instant Article are 70% less likely to abandon the article
- – Instant Articles get shared 30% more often than normal web links on Facebook
Facebook had also announced that an official WordPress plugin will be released, automatically giving easy access to Instant Articles to over 25% of publishers worldwide. We have not yet found this plugin online, but it should be coming very soon.

Also, it is worth noting that Instant Articles will keep on showing up as regular web traffic in Google Analytics. I know many of you have been worried about this.
