Let’s start with a cliche: video is big on Facebook. Yes… we know…
With that out of the way, we can look at the one issue Facebook video is facing: mobile data usage. Apparently many people are still very conscious of their mobile data usage, and this tends to stop them from viewing branded video content on Facebook. Until now. Facebook is now allowing Android users save videos that you can watch later offline.

Saving a video is very easy too: Just click on the drop down menu on the top right-hand corner of any video, and choose “save video” to add it to your Saved Directory (that place everything you save on Facebook goes to). You will find all your saved videos there, under “videos”, obviously.
The videos are NOT downloaded to your phone so they won’t use any of that precious storage space on your device – instead they are made available for you to watch offline, through your Facebook app.
Facebook has not made any official announcement about this new feature. The Next Web reported that it was originally aimed to “arrive solely in India as part of Facebook’s initiative to battle poor internet connectivity.” But we have tested it here in the UK, and it is available to all Android users. Goody!
