Amazon is introducing a new Kindle, specifically for kids, offering a new kind of game-free screen time for children.
Every parent is a victim of… screens. While your phone and tablets are often the best and quickest way to satisfy a bored child, they can also cause mayhem when trying to limit their screen time.
Comes the new Kindle Kids edition. Yes it is a screen, but it is a Kindle. Which means that it is purpose built for reading, and that is pretty much the only thing kids will be able to do with it.
The Kindle Kids Edition is very similar to the one you already know: a 6-inch, 167 PPI E Ink screen with a front light, and the famous weeks-long battery. But the Kids Edition comes in with a drop-friendly case, colorful designs, a one year of FreeTime Unlimited, a two-year warranty and a bunch of kid specific features like activity badges, wallpapers and tools to learn new vocabulary.
