Netflix may have increased its monthly fees, and have seen a dip in new US subscribers, but this doesn’t mean that the platform will stop releasing goodies. The latest to be added will take you on a trip down memory lane, as it involves tapes – only with films. Surprisingly enough (#NOT), the new service is called Flixtape.

So what is Flixtape? Well, it’s a list of films that are based around a specific theme, mood, message… you name it. Pick your flixtape name carefully though. You know… because first impressions matter.
Meet flixtape…it's like a mixtape, but for Netflix! https://t.co/tDPX9pDr3V pic.twitter.com/XjIJQpw7ia

To make it more personalised, Netflix allows you to change the cover of your collection with covers, doodles, and names, so that it reflects you – or the person you want to dedicate it to. You can make a flixtape for you or a friend. And while Netflix will give you the best possible suggestions, you can add, remove, and shuffle a couple of them to make it more spot on.
The rest is history. You can share your flixtape on your social profiles and let everyone know about your taste in series or film – provided that your friends have an active Netflix account.
Bring on the popcorn!
