This is the year for women, and this International Women’s Day was all about empowering them. To celebrate, Creative Equals had the idea of giving 8 iconic brand marks a female makeover. The results are stunning.
Creative Equals is an organization that works to support talented women and promote diversity in creative industries. To celebrate #IWD2018, they decided to transform iconic brand marks into their female counterparts.
The campaign includes brands like Pringles, Monopoly, DreamWorks, Schwarzkopf, and BIC, as well as renowned organizations such as the OSCARS or BAFTA.
The campaign aimed to highlight the issues of unbalanced branding in the media. However, Ali Hanan, digital creative director and CEO of Creative Equals, stated that the campaign was in no way an attack on any of these specific brands, but simply a way to celebrate women. Hanan also explained that up to 89.5% of design directors in the creative industries are male, and that this can definitely affect brands’ identities.
We don’t judge, we love and celebrate women. Plus, Miss Pringles is kind of cute, right?
