Google and Twitter have started their collaboration a little while back, without much impact on users. Today, however, this is changing as you can now view live tweet feeds right from within Google Search results.

Google and Twitter have a lot to win by working hand in hand. Google is by far the number 1 search engine in the world, and Twitter being the most reactive social media platform, one can easily imagine how powerful their collaboration can become.

As of now, Google will pull up live twitter feeds directly from within its Search results.

For example, try searching for “we are social media twitter” on google.com. The first results that will come up will be a series of tweets from us (@WeRSM) that are fully clickable.


If you search for a #hashtag on google.com, the search will return a list of trending tweets for that particular hashtag:

Dick Costolo, then still CEO ofTwitter, explained that Twitter and Google were to start partnering for future integrations, which started back in May 2015,with the integration of Twitter on Google’s mobile website and apps. With this now being available on google.com (desktop), it will certainly mark the beginning of a new way to use Search and render the platform much more reactive to breaking news.
