Facebook Is Looking Into Ways For Users To Monetise Their Posts

Rumour has it that Facebook could be preparing to offer users different ways to monetise the content they create. This is something that has been discussed a lot over the years, especially since YouTube is often the platform of choice for video creators, just because it offers a monetisation mechanism.

A recent survey circulated by Facebook among selected users, has been suggesting ways in which Facebook could be helping users monetise their posts. The main ideas from the survey involved a “tip jar” that would allow others to donate money to a user, a new way to get paid sponsorships for branded content, a charity donation option and, of course, a more traditional ad revenue-sharing scheme.

Of course, a survey does not guarantee any of these would ever be rolled out, but it at least shows that Facebook is conscious that monetisation will be the only way to attract more content creators to its platform.

Also note that this survey was reported by a verified user. This means that this is possibly an upcoming feature reserved for verified accounts only. Furthermore, at this stage there is no indication as to whether a content monetisation feature would be extended to brand Pages or not.
