Using stock imagery does not have to be generic nor expensive. When you cannot access professional photography, then it’s time to hunt for good, high-resolution, but FREE stock images.
Nothing replaces professional photography. But the reality of today’s fast-moving advertising world makes it difficult to find the time or budget to organise professional photo shoots for different situations.
So, more often the we would like to, we have to rely on stock imagery. We often go on the stock imagery giants like Fotolia, Shutterstock or iStockPhoto. However, they are often quite expensive though, and offer limited choices. Except if you really enjoy group pictures of grinning middle-aged Americans.
I invite you to check out the following five websites, all of which offer good stock photographs for free. Let me know what you think in the comments, and feel free to add your favourite one too!
