According to a recent infographic by GWI, 37% of active Instagram user have watched videos on Instagram. This is even more for users from Latin America where over 50% of users have watched videos. Most users on Instagram – 99% of them in fact – are watching video online, on a daily basis. It’s great news for brands who would like to use Instagram for their content. GWI explained,
…perhaps the most arresting trend here is the potential for further growth. Virtually all (99 percent) Instagrammers are watching video clips online each month, meaning that Instagram is well-placed to follow in Facebook’s footsteps and make video a central part of the user experience–all of which is good news for branded content on the network.
